Brick Lane Leather Co. is the retail home of a family that has lived and breathed leather for nearly five decades. Our founder, Shabir Ahmed, arrived on Brick Lane in East London in the mid-1970s and built what would become one of the last remaining genuine leather businesses in the country — at a time when Brick Lane was the heartbeat of London's rag trade.

The leather industry has changed almost beyond recognition since those early days. The factories that once lined the streets of East London are long gone. Most of the wholesalers, traders, and craftspeople your parents might have known have disappeared. We are one of the very few who remained, who adapted, and who never compromised on the one thing that matters: real leather.

Everything we sell is 100% genuine leather. Not PU. Not bonded. Not leather-look. We do not stock synthetic alternatives — we never have, and we never will. Our jackets are produced in our own exclusive factories, crafted by people who have been making leather garments for generations, and quality-checked before they reach you.
